I looked at a lot of car shipping companies and after reading reviews of AmeriFreight I made a reservation with them to move my 2017 Camry from Phoenix, AZ to Jacksonville,FL a month in advance. I was quoted $850 (which included their $267 broker fee). My agent was Maleah Sanders. I did not hear from AmeriFreight until 2 days were left for me to leave the city, in spite of sending multiple texts and leaving voice messages. Ultimately just a day before my departure I was told that they didn't find any carrier for the price nor for a price of $1300. I then asked my agent to cancel the booking and then suddenly I was informed that they have now found a carrier but he was asking for $1450 (excluding AmeriFreight's Broker fee). I did not have a choice and had to agree to paying $1700 to get my vehicle transported. I must admit that the carrier (Orange Express LLC) sent a wonderful driver who delivered my car in FL in just 3 days (which was totally unexpected). If not for the driver I would have given AmeriFreight 1 star. In fact, not just AmeriFreight all shipping brokers use the same tactic of leaving you hanging until the very last day then switching the price when you have no where to go. Do not let the quote fool you. Bottom line - your car cannot be shipped for anything less that $1500 (cross country).
