First off, it is my fault for not going over the contract. Having said that, I spent some time on the phone with Steve explaining that I had just been told by another company that they had jacked the price by $700 between the first conversation and the day of pickup. This means that dishonesty and lies had been covered by myself. Steve explained to me that Big Ben’s Auto had their own trucks, had been in business for 10 years and their drivers had more experience time than that and though they were quite aware of that type of practice, this would not happen with them. We agreed on a price of $2100 with a $200 deposit. Next thing I know, the deposit became $300 and the driver wants $2000! Spoke with Steve and his supervisor and it was quite evident that this is what they do: sweeten the deal with whoever they’re talking to and hope (correctly unfortunately in this case) that people won’t read the contract. The supervisor told Steve to hang up and he did. I will never do business with this dishonest company ever and I highly recommend that anyone looking to have them transport look elsewhere!!
