Car shipped well, just not timely

I shipped two cars from Northern California to Northern Colorado, 2 weeks apart, with hopes we would have a car when we arrived in Colorado, 2 weeks later. It arrived 2 days after we arrived by plane. So we had to get a rental car for two days, and they refused to pay for it. Direct Connect originally promised 5 days, the contractor shipping company said 7 days, it ended up taking 10 days. If you have the expectation that it will take twice as long as what Direct Connect quotes you, then there are no problems. Keep in mind that it takes 18 hours to drive from Northern California to Northern Colorado. It was relatively easy to set up, you can set up via the website or by calling someone. The website requires a $200 deposit, but calling in does not? Billing was straight forward, it cost us about $1000 per car for Spring time through two mountain ranges, with probable snow on both ranges. The cars arrived in great condition with no damage, just a lot of mud on the first car.
