I had the same issues as other people recently had on this board. Lack of information up front, false promises and quick to take your money. I was sending my daughter to college. I found Ellen's price to be the best. She was quick to give me papers up front to fill out and give my bank information. When the withdrawal didn't go thru right away Ellen was prompt to call me and explain she can't do anything until she gets my money. The papers I filled out asked for earliest day to pick up and day to drop off. Both were not met. I had other brokers contacting me warning me not to use Gold Star Transport. My daughter was dropped off and multiple dates promised for the car to be picked up came and went. Ellen said that my location for pickup was remote. I live directly off an I-80 exit and the drop off location was right off the I-80. Ellen explained to me that 'it's difficult for the lay person to understand' her line of work. As a lay person I cut ties with Ellen and had my car on a different truck within 48 hours. The price was $300 more then what Ellen quoted me but from what I've read with other reviews she would have charged that afterwards. After cutting ties with Ellen I needed my money back. She took my money 8/13/18 and has yet to refund me 1 month later. She was very quick to defend herself stating that no money has ever been withdrawn from my bank. After showing her my bank statements she apologized and said I would be refunded within 10 business days. It's been 14 business days and no money back. I highly recommend using other brokers as their are plenty of them that only take your money when your car is on the truck. I debated writing this review but since my money has still not been refunded and she has given no indication that it will be, I feel stuck. I'm sure she will respond to this review defending her business and pointing out how I'm in the wrong but the bottom line is I paid for a service that was not fulfilled and have yet to receive a refund as done in any standard business transaction.

Being in business since 2007 I have had only 4 negative reviews, that’s almost 12 years of service with pages and pages of positive reviews. I cannot change this clients view of how he believed his transport should have gone but he was never treated unprofessionally nor without respect and honesty. He was given a full refund in half the time as the cancellation policy requires. I invite anyone considering my company to look at my years of impeccable service and to call me personally.
