Stay Away from ASG Transport!!

I was promised my vehicle would be picked up by a certain date from Lance from ASG. I called a week before to verify and was told the truck driver would call me 2-3 days before pick up. Mind you, I have a flight leaving to come home to Texas and was on a strict deadline. This is why I VERIFIED with this "company" that they would be able to pick up my vehicle before I left on my plane. Not having received a call, I contacted the company and was told by another individual, Ty, that it was practically impossible to get someone to my location in Maine. Ty indicated that Lance has moved to Washington where it is legal to smoke pot and the day he originally spoke with me, Lance was in the process of moving and was "probably distracted" and wasn't "looking at the map" as to my location. He indicated that it was highly unlikely a driver would be headed to my location and couldn't even provide a time-frame as to when I could expect someone to pick up my vehicle. Apparently, they just put out an alert to drivers stating they have a vehicle that needs transport, the date it needs moved, and the price they would be getting and IF a driver is in the area at that time, they would pick up the vehicle for transport. Additionally, Ty informed me, "It would have been better to have the vehicle picked up from Boston", to which I informed him that if I would have known that, I would have made arrangements to get my car to Boston to be picked up as requested. But, Lance ASSURED me when I spoke with him weeks before the transport was supposed to take place that it wouldn't be a problem. Ty stated he would contact a local company to have my car picked up by a smaller truck, deliver it to Boston, then transport it to Texas on a larger truck. He stated he would call me back on Monday when the business opened to let me know when to expect pick up (This is the same day as my travel plans.). I left my vehicle with a friend so that I could continue with my travel arrangements and get back home to my family. I sent him a message that evening requesting a status update with no response. Two days later, still no response, my friend notifies me that my vehicle still has yet to be picked up and I have yet to receive a call from a truck driver. My friend informs the company that the car needs to be picked up so that it can be transported. The original representative from the company, Lance, told her "It wasn't going to happen". Hearing this, I contact Lance but had to leave a message. I called the company's help desk and was just told they would relay the information to the associate (Lance). Having an additional contact at the company, I call Ty. He stated he gave Lance the information and told him he needed to take care of it. I asked for the owner's number and was told he was on vacation. Additionally, I provide Ty with Lance's phone number because he stated he was going to let Lance know that he needed to contact me. Guess what...one week later, I have still yet to receive ANY information from the "company". My main issue with them is: why in the world would they even inform me they could guarantee a pick-up at a certain time if they rely on the chance of a driver being in the area at the exact time the vehicle needed to be transported. Secondly, the lack of professionalism and tact from the representatives is appalling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They specialize in giving people the run-around and are worthless. They are a complete waste of time and energy. I'm not sure how BBB has them ranked A+ because they SUCK! They requested a deposit up-front, which I was informed by another company that isn't standard practice. Having contacted another transportation company, they stated that the drivers would need incentive to go to a pick-up location that is out of their way and that is why they offered such a low quote. ASG was given the exact information, including pick-up location and date, & drop-off location when they quoted me the price and guaranteed they could make it happen. The fact is, they low-ball the price and give you the runaround. I should have just paid the extra $300 for the other company that was upfront and honest about how difficult it would be to get a driver to go up that far north and that they would have to change trucks to get my car to me in Texas. DO NOT USE AUTO SHIPPING GROUP, INC!! If you want your vehicle transported, avoid this fraud company at all costs.

Good Day Rachel. Sorry to hear your frustrated with our company, I know moving can be stressful and people say things out of spite. However according to our conversation that was recorded on my side and just of me, I said estimated not guaranteed. Especially a vehicle that was coming out of Maine. Maine is not a regular route and is harder to have a carrier pick up. I would not say guarantee. I also asked you if you had another pick up point but you said no cause you didn't want to ask anyone to do that. When it comes to pricing routes, this is my normal line I use to potential customers, "The price is determined by the Carriers that do the route, not the brokers giving you the quote." I start out at the lowest possible price they are getting and see what the carriers come back with. Since I have been in the Transport industry I have come to believe that most customers have selective hearing and do not understand the true nuances of having their vehicle shipped. They only hear price and when they can be picked up. I apologize for not returning your call during a portion of looking for a carrier , but unfortunately I was out of town for a significant time frame and a few of my fellow Brokers were handling my customers. If you would have called in and listened to my voicemail you would have spoken with the people I designated to help my customers and you would have be treated professionally and would have been shipped accordingly. It is too bad you talked to Tige who has no clue about what professionalism is and didn't even know I live in Washington and was on vacation. Once again thank you for your time and I apologize for any inconvenience
