Our experience with Direct Connect was an unmitigated disaster. Once you contact them for rate info they hound you for your business incessantly, but if there are any “surprises” in transit, and there are, you’ll get crickets. This is the only site where they suspiciously have 5 stars incidentally. They were a day and a half late picking up our vehicles making us late for our closing in Florida. They were late delivering our vehicles in Florida leaving us stranded without transportation for two days. There was oil blown all over my husband’s custom pick-up, and the driver started bugging us for COD upon delivery. A week later the driver was calling us again demanding payment because Direct Connect wasn’t paying him! Direct Connect refused to comp us for any of the service failure but someone named BOB was supposed to contact me. BOB never called me. I filed a dispute with Discover for $400 of the $2200 total and submitted all the documentation. Discover sided with Direct Connect because in their terms they do not guarantee service. That was a double slap in the face I wasn’t expecting especially after 20 years with Discover and an excellent payment history, so today I fired them, too. From the depths of my soul, please avoid using these worthless snakes.
